Description

Glebe Cottage is a house dating from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed of regular coursed ironstone rubble with a thatched roof, and features two brick stacks to the left and along the ridge. The house has a 2-unit plan with a thatched extension to the rear. It is a single-storey building with an attic; the front elevation has a 2-window range. A central plank door has a single light above, protected by a wooden lintel. To the left is a 3-light casement, and to the right a 4-light casement, both with wooden lintels. Two 2-light casements are set within an eyebrow dormer in the attic. Ironstone quoins define the corners of the building. A ground floor casement to the right includes a wrought iron window catch shaped like a lion or dog. The interior was not inspected.
