Description

WIGGINTON MAIN STREET SP3833 (North side) 11/113 Mulberry House GV II Three cottages now 1 house. C17 with later alterations. Regular coursed ironstone rubble. C20 tile roof. 3 brick stacks on stone bases. Left part: 2-unit, single storey plus attic. 3-light window to left has stone mullions partly replaced in wood and hood mould with label stops. 4-light casements to attic both with wooden lintels. Side entrance on left. Right part: 2-unit, single storey plus attic. 2 entrances to left both have plank doors and wooden lintels. 3-light stone mullioned window with hood mould and label stops to right. Two eyebrow dormers have 3-light casements with wooden lintels. Mulberry House occupies an important corner site at the junction of Main Street and Chapel Street. Interior not inspected.
