Description

Mulberry House is a building that originally consisted of three cottages, now combined into one house. It dates back to the 17th century and has undergone later alterations. The exterior is made of regular coursed ironstone rubble and features a 20th-century tile roof, with three brick stacks on stone bases.

The left part of the house is a two-unit structure with a single storey and an attic. It has a three-light window on the left, which has stone mullions that are partly replaced with wood, and a hood mould with label stops. There are also two four-light casements in the attic, both with wooden lintels. A side entrance is located on the left.

The right part of the house is similarly a two-unit structure with a single storey and an attic. It features two entrances on the left, both with plank doors and wooden lintels. To the right, there is a three-light stone mullioned window with a hood mould and label stops. Additionally, there are two eyebrow dormers, each with three-light casements and wooden lintels.

Mulberry House is situated at an important corner site at the junction of Main Street and Chapel Street. The interior has not been inspected.
