Description

The Parochial School, built in 1832 by William Smith of London and enlarged in 1859, is located on Wiggington School Lane. It is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof with stone copings. The original section on the right is a single-storey, two-unit building with a central plank door that has a hood mould and square label stops. This is flanked by two 2-light stone mullioned windows, also with hood moulds and square label stops. To the left, a later gabled wing includes a pointed 3-light window with plate tracery and an entrance porch at the left end. The interior has not been inspected.
