Description
Bathway Cottages Post Office is a house and post office that dates from the 18th century, with alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a double Roman tile roof with rubble stacks. The building has two storeys and is arranged in a 3:1 bay configuration. The left three bays contain 16-pane sash windows with exposed sash boxes and wooden lintels, except for a 20th-century shop front located to the left on the ground floor. The right bay features 2-light stone mullioned windows, with a cornice drip above the ground floor window. There are two door openings: to the left is a four-panelled door with a transom light, and to the right is a plank door set in a moulded freestone surround with a cambered head.
