Description

34 The Folly is a cottage dating from the 18th century. It features an enriched freestone datestone on the front, which has a semi-circular head, flanking pilasters, a keystone, and raised lettering that reads "C W A 1785". The building is constructed of coursed rubble and has a triple-Roman tile roof, along with a restored squared rubble stack. It is square in plan, consisting of a single bay and two storeys. The cottage has two-light stone mullioned windows, with the ground floor window featuring a stopped label. To the left is a door opening that contains a 20th-century half-glazed door, which is sheltered by a concrete slab hood and a solid-sided porch.
