Description

The Vicarage is an early 19th-century vicarage located on the west side of High Street in Chewton Mendip. It features a smooth rendered and colorwashed exterior, topped with a hipped slate roof that has wide eaves. The building has two low ashlar stacks with crenellated chimneypots. The front is symmetrical, consisting of two storeys and three bays, with 16-pane sash windows set in plain freestone surrounds. The central entrance has a semi-circular head and is framed by a bead-moulded freestone surround. It includes a recessed six-panel door and a fanlight with radiating glazing bars.
