Description
The Vicarage is an early 19th-century vicarage located on Japp Lane in the parish of Edensor. It is constructed of rubblestone, coursed squared sandstone, and ashlar, topped with a hipped stone slate roof featuring ashlar lateral stacks and angle quoins. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical double fronted west elevation. This façade features a central moulded doorcase with a pediment, a panelled door with a semi-circular fanlight, and is flanked by glazing bar sashes set in plain ashlar surrounds. A continuous sill band runs across the front, with three additional similar glazing bar sashes located above. Inside, there is a staircase with carved tread ends, a ramped handrail, and two turned balusters per tread.
