Description

The Vicarage is an early 19th-century vicarage situated in Horton. The front is built of brick with stone quoins and horizontal mouldings, while the sides and rear are of coursed stone. The roof is covered in stone slate, with overhanging edges and front parapets. Brick stacks are present at the ends of the building. The structure follows a rectangular plan, two rooms deep. It is two storeys in height with a gable-lit attic. The symmetrical front has five windows, each with stone surrounds. The first floor windows are two-light casements with mullions. Ground floor windows are cross-form casements. A round-arched window is centrally positioned on the first floor, above a four-panel door with a moulded surround, a decorative band, and a projecting cornice.
