Description
Manor Farmhouse is a manor or stewards house, now functioning as a farmhouse, dating from around 1700 with some 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with dressed alternating freestone quoins. It features a moulded string course above the ground floor windows and a moulded stone eaves cornice. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, and there is a tall stack on each side, most of which appear to have been renewed in concrete. The house has a square plan and a symmetrical front, consisting of two storeys and five bays. It has 2-light moulded stone mullioned and transomed windows. The central door opening is framed by a moulded freestone surround, with a 20th-century panelled door and a slab hood supported by console brackets.
