Description

Spring Cottage and Yew Tree Cottage are two cottages dating from the 18th century. They are constructed of rubble with tile and pantile roofs, featuring three rubble chimney stacks—one with a moulded cap and another that is roughcast—as well as two brick stacks and coped verges. The cottages are two storeys high and have three bays each, with two and three-light stone mullioned windows. Each light has a casement, except for the ground floor of Spring Cottage, which has a three-light casement. There are two door openings with freestone surrounds, leading to plank doors, and stone slab hoods supported by ornamental cut stone brackets.
