Description

Chewton House is a small country house set in landscaped grounds, built in two stages during the mid to late 18th century. The house features a combination of ashlar and rubble materials, with hipped slate roofs, cornices, and parapets topped with copings, as well as ashlar stacks. The main façade is symmetrical, with three bays and sash windows that include glazing bars. A central door opening is flanked by a solid-sided portico and paired half-glazed doors adorned with ornamental glazing. At the rear, there is a parallel three-storey range.
