Description
The Old Rectory is a rectory, now a house, built around 1830 with some mid-19th century additions and alterations. It features banded ashlar stone with prominent quoins, a moulded stone cornice, and a parapet with coping. The slate roof has coped verges and end ashlar stacks, along with three late 20th century box dormers. The building has a symmetrical front with two storeys and an attic, consisting of three bays where the center bay projects slightly. It has large four-pane sash windows and a band on the first floor. The central entrance has a semi-circular head door opening framed in painted freestone, with a recessed six-panelled door and a fanlight with radiating glazing bars. There are sash windows with glazing bars on the left return. At the rear, there is a gabled Gothic addition and a single-storey service range. The interior includes original doors, fireplaces, a staircase, and ornamental plasterwork.
