Description
Bathway Cottages No 1 is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed of squared rubble and features a double Roman tile roof with two brick ridge stacks. The building is two storeys high and has two bays. On the ground floor, there is a 3-light and two 2-light moulded stone mullioned windows, each with continuous hood moulds above. The first floor has a half-dormer with a 2-light and a 3-light 19th-century casement window. The door opening is framed by a moulded freestone surround with a 4-centred head, leading to a plank door. The cottage includes a walled forecourt. Additional cottages attached to the south are not of special interest.
