Description

Sperrings Green Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on Broad Street in Chewton Mendip. The building is rendered and colourwashed with a slate roof, featuring wide eaves and a combination of a brick stack and two ashlar stacks. It has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall, with a façade that includes two bays on one side and three on the other. The windows are 16-pane sash windows set in freestone surrounds, although one ground floor window has had its glazing bars removed and another window is blank. The door opening is also framed in freestone and features a 20th-century half-glazed door.
