Description
Mire House Farmhouse is a farmhouse from the late 17th century, featuring a pebbledashed exterior and a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays, all equipped with double chamfered stone mullion windows. The ground floor windows have five, four, five, and five lights, while the first floor windows each have four lights. There is a continuous hoodmould above the ground floor windows. The farmhouse includes two chamfered doorways, with the left one likely dating from the 19th century, along with all three chimneys. The left gable features a three-light double chamfered stone mullion window on the first floor, complete with a hoodmould, while the right gable has rock-faced quoins and has been rebuilt. Inside, the pantry at the right end contains stone shelves, and there is a large segmental-headed chamfered fireplace in the second bay.
