Description
This is a milepost located approximately 50 yards north of the junction with the B6352. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of cast iron. The milepost has a triangular shape with a steeply-canted top. One side is inscribed with "COR" for Cornhill, the opposite side has "MOR" for Morpeth, and the top features "L E" for London and Edinburgh, along with the numbers 6 38 324 53.
