Description
Flodden Lodge is a house built in 1865, likely designed by David Bryce for the Marchioness of Waterford. It is constructed from snecked stone and features a blue and green slate roof, showcasing a Tudor style with an irregular plan. The building has two storeys and three bays.
The facade includes a right bay that has a single-storey projection with a two-light window and a hipped roof. There is a diagonally-set extruded porch that features a six-panel door with a hoodmould, above which is a moulded panel displaying the date 1865 and the Waterford monogram. The second bay has a two-light window on the ground floor and a two-light gabled half-dormer above. The left bay is cross-gabled and has three-light windows under hoodmoulds. The gabled roof is adorned with bands of diagonally-set green slates, decorative cresting, and fleur-de-lys finials. Additionally, there are large brick lateral stacks on the left return and at the rear.
