Description

The garden walls and gatepiers in front of Encampment Farmhouse date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of random rubble, primarily rhyolite, with large, roughly-dressed blocks of sandstone used as coping. The gatepiers are made of sandstone ashlar.

On the east side, close to the house, there are large square gatepiers with an attached wall that ramps down. The wall also ramps down in the south-east corner. The west wall is taller and ramps down in the south-west corner.
