Description

This is a milepost dating from the early 19th century, made of cast iron. It stands approximately 2 feet high and features a triangular shape with a rounded back and a canted top. One side is inscribed with "MOR" for Morpeth, while the opposite side displays "31 COR" for Cornhill. The top of the post is marked with "L E," indicating London and Edinburgh.
