Description
The gates, piers, and forecourt wall to Elm Court, Pierremont, Dentdale East, Dentdale West, Tower House, and Pierremont Hall date from the mid to late 19th century. They are constructed from coursed freestone and feature round coping. The wall curves in quadrants to accommodate entrances, which include a small wrought-iron gate, a large carriage entrance set in a battlemented screen, and a wooden gate flanked by low, battlemented octagonal piers. The northern section of the wall is of a later date.
