Description

The walls, gates, and piers located to the north and west of the Church of Holy Trinity were built around 1836. They are constructed from roughly coursed rubble topped with curved stone coping. At the center, there is a pair of gate piers featuring rebated angles that support nookshafts, and their tall caps are reminiscent of the church spire. The heavy wrought iron gates have a double row of sunflower-headed standards, with the lower heads positioned above a rail at one-third of the height. Smaller piers on the west side support a single gate.
