Description

No. 53 Bondgate is a late 17th century house located above and beside an alley leading to Shutt's Yard. The building has two storeys and features two windows, now covered in stucco. Its roof is made of large Welsh slates. On the first floor, there are two square oriel windows above a small late 19th century double shop front, which includes pilasters and a fascia with a dentil cornice. An elliptical headed arch leads to a plank door that opens into the alley.
