Description

Pierremont Lodge is a lodge dating from 1854, designed by Richardson and Ross. It is a T-shaped building of one storey and an attic. The exterior is faced with coursed, tooled freestone, topped with a very high-pitched slated roof. The gable ends feature carved and pierced bargeboards. A stone ridge stack has octagonal shafts and terra-cotta octagonal pots. Windows are stone-mullioned casements set in moulded architraves, and the doorway has a similar architrave framing planks and fillets. A triangular projecting window with a hipped roof extends from one end of the T-shaped plan.
