Description

These walls and two entrance gate piers, including gates and railings, lie to the south-east of High Hall, dating from approximately 1921. Their construction was contemporaneous with alterations made to the hall itself. The walls are built of coursed rubble and have copings of a segmental shape. These copings are topped by square-sectioned wooden railings with a moulded wooden ramped rail and iron spikes. The ashlar gate piers are square in plan, with plinths and moulded cornices, finished with ball finials. The gates have a semicircular arch at the centre, and decorative iron strap hinges.
