Description

This is a 19th-century milestone located 120 metres south of the junction with the A67 on the west side of the B6274 in Winston. It is made of sandstone and painted white. The milestone has a single, square-plan design and stands about 0.5 metres high with a rounded top. On the north-east face, it features incised sans-serif letters painted black that read "RICHMOND 12," while the south-east face displays "STAINDROP 3." The top of the milestone is marked with "O.S.B.M."
