Description

The Cobblers is a house that likely dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of roughcast sandstone rubble with dressed quoins and has a pantiled roof with brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. There is a low plinth, and a central 20th-century gabled porch made of brick. To the left of the porch is a 12-pane horizontal sliding sash window, and to the right is a 16-pane horizontal sliding sash window. The first floor has a blank central bay flanked by two 12-pane horizontal sliding sash windows. The roof has a moderate pitch with a rebuilt ridge and chimneys at both ends. The building is included for its group value.
