Description

This is a milepost located 400 metres north of the junction with Pudding Hill Road, dating from the early 20th century. It is made of cast iron and is painted black on a white background. The milepost has a triangular plan with an open back. It features raised lettering indicating "STAINDROP 4 MILES" and "RICHMOND 11 MILES," with a pointing hand above each. The sloping top of the milepost displays the inscription "RICHMOND R.D." It stands 0.60 metres tall.
