Description

This milestone, located 60 metres south of the East Lodge of Westholme Hall, dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of sandstone and painted white. The stone has a single, flattened triangular shape and stands about 0.5 metres high, featuring a slightly sloping top. On the north-west face, it has incised sans-serif letters painted black that read "RICHMOND 13," while the south-west face displays "STAINDROP 2."
