Description
16 Monnow Street is a three-storey building, likely dating from the 18th century. It has a double-depth plan with a rear wing. The front of the building is roughcast rendering, probably over brick, with a roof that is not visible from the street. It features a recessed entrance on the left, with a 6-panel door that includes four glazed panels, which is a 20th-century addition. A canted shop window and a two-light casement window are also present on the front elevation; the first floor has a 2x2-pane casement, and the second floor has a similar window. The building has a coped parapet and a tall rendered stack to the right. The rear elevation is not visible. The interior was not inspected during a recent survey.
