Description
7 St. John Street is a two-storey building, likely dating from the 19th century, featuring a narrow double depth plan. The exterior is roughcast rendered and painted, probably over brick, topped with a natural slate roof that is mostly concealed by a parapet. The ground floor has four doors and four windows arranged as follows: door, door, window, window, door, door, window. The upper floor has six windows. The doors are plain four-panel types set in elliptical arched openings, while the sash windows have six over six panes and stone cills. There is a painted plinth and a band above the first floor, just below the eaves. Shared stacks are present on the ridge. The interior layout is notable because two of the houses have two upper floor windows, while the other two have one. The rear elevation has not been observed.
