Description

5 Monnow Street is a three-storey building with a rendered and painted front and a Welsh slate roof. It has a double depth plan and features one window. The shopfront, dating from the late 19th century, is plain and has an entrance on the right side. On the first floor, there is a canted oriel with a central 4-light mullion-and-transom window, which includes a 4-pane sash below the transom and 2 panes above. The upper floor has a paired 2 over 4-pane sash window. The roof is plain with a steep pitch. The rear elevation is not visible, and the interior has not been seen during the resurvey.
