Description
12 Monnow Street is a three-storey building with rendered and painted elevations topped by a Welsh slate roof. It has a double depth plan and features two windows facing Monnow Street and one window facing St. John's Street. The shopfront is made of plate glass and includes a tall fascia, with an entrance accessed through an aluminium door on the right. The first-floor windows are 6 over 3 pane sashes, and their cills have been raised due to the deep fascia. The upper floor windows are 3 over 3 pane sashes with stone cills. The roof has a low pitch and is hipped at the left corner, with a rendered stack on the ridge to the right. The corner facing St. John's Street is curved and continues the shopfront design, featuring a small casement window on the first floor and a 3 over 6 pane sash on the second floor. The rear elevation has not been seen. The interior was not observed during the resurvey.
