Description

89 Monnow Street is a three-storey building, likely dating from the late 18th century, with a double-depth plan. The front is finished with roughcast plaster and rusticated quoins; the roof is not visible from the street. A late 20th-century oriel display window is on the ground floor, alongside a doorway with a partly glazed door and a small hood. The first floor has a two-over-two pane sash window, while the second floor has a smaller sash window, suggesting a possible original gabled front. A cornice band runs along the top of the building, above which is a coped parapet. The rear elevation is not visible. The interior was not inspected during a recent survey.
