Description
Nos 9 and 10 Dark Street are terraced houses built with painted lined stucco and feature a close-eaved slate roof with a right end stack built up against the gable end of No 8. The buildings are two-storey with a three-bay front. The central bay has a blank window above a plate glass sash and a recessed 20th-century door, with the sash featuring a slate sill. The right half of the building has a renewed plate glass sash on the ground floor and a renewed 4-8-4-pane tripartite sash above, both fitted with wooden sills. The left house includes a square shop window with three-light timber glazing, pointed heads to the lights, and a central transom. Above this, there is a plate glass sash with a concrete sill. At the rear, there are two large 20th-century dormers and three small first-floor 9-pane windows, with the center window being smaller than the other two. Additionally, a lean-to has been added to the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected.
