Description
Summerville House is a terraced house constructed with unpainted roughcast and features a close-eaved slate roof without an end stack. It stands three storeys tall and has a one-window range. The house has small-paned sash windows, with a 9-pane sash on the top floor, a 12-pane sash on the first floor, and two sash windows on the ground floor, located in the centre and to the right. There is a 20th-century door with an overlight to the left. The right end wall is made of rubble stone and has an added lean-to along the ground floor. Each floor above has two windows with brick cambered heads; the left window is blocked, while the right features 20th-century metal glazing. The chimney shaft is made of brickwork in the gable. To the right, there is a rear wing with a stairlight that has a cambered brick head and a window under the eaves. The gable end has a blocked loft window to the right of centre and a large timber oriel window on the first floor, which consists of 8-16-8 panes, with roundels at the tops of the dividing piers. There is a modern door leading up steps to the ground floor on the left, as well as a broad basement opening. The interior has not been inspected.
