Description
17, 18, and 19 Wodehouse Terrace are three terraced houses built in the mid-19th century. They feature stucco on rubble with a slurried scantle slate roof, projecting eaves, and brick end stacks. Each house has cast-iron ogee gutters and asbestos slate roofs. The buildings have a double-depth plan and are two storeys high, with a window arrangement of 3:2:2.
No. 17, on the left, has moulded architraves for the first-floor windows, pilaster jambs, and console hoods for the ground-floor windows. Nos. 18 and 19 have moulded hoods on consoles for their ground-floor windows. The original 12-pane hornless sash windows are present in Nos. 17 and 19. Each house features a glazed box porch on the left, with pilasters, a moulded entablature, a projecting cornice, a pair of glazed doors, and sidelights. Nos. 18 and 19 have key patterns on their pilasters and round-arched lights for their doors and sidelights. The interiors were not inspected, but No. 17 is noted to have window shutters, and all interiors are likely to be of interest.
