Description

A mid-19th century terrace of three houses, one with a slightly later shop, and another with a later addition. The houses are stuccoed over masonry with a dry slate roof to number 2, while the others have asbestos slate; a rendered axial stack sits between numbers 1 and 2. The houses have a double-depth plan, with a rear extension to number 2, and are otherwise of shallow depth. The elevation displays a 3:2:2 window arrangement over a basement at number 1. The original windows are 12-pane hornless sashes. Number 1 has a central doorway, while numbers 2 and 3 have doorways on their left sides. Number 2 features a moulded hood supported on consoles; number 3 has a box porch with a deep, hooded cornice, basket-arched glazed doors, and return lights. A late 19th century three-light shop window with basket-arched lights and a moulded entablature with fascia is present at number 2. Number 1 has an early-to-mid 20th century double shop front with a tiled stall-riser and transomed lights. The interiors of the shops are plain, while the rest of the houses were not inspected.
