Description

This is an early to mid-19th century house located on Woodlane, Falmouth. The exterior is stuccoed over rubble walls, and features rusticated quoins, a dry slate hipped roof, brick end stacks, and cast-iron ogee gutters. The house was originally designed as a double-depth plan, later extended to the left of the entrance front. The symmetrical front facade has three windows and is two stories high, alongside a two-window-range extension and a symmetrical three-window garden front on the right-hand return. Most windows are original 16-pane hornless sashes, with the exception of the extension which has horned copies. The entrance front includes a pilastered porch with tall consoles, moulded transoms, a cornice, a pair of glazed doors, and a glazed sidelight. The garden front has a blind central window above a pilastered round-arched blind doorway. The interior has not been inspected, but is likely to be of interest.
