Description

No. 3 Woodlane is a house, originally associated with Grovehill House on Grovehill Crescent, and may have served as a dower house or manager's house. It likely dates from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of killas rubble and features a scantle slate roof with brick end stacks. It has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall. The symmetrical three-bay principal rear elevation includes a central bay that is slightly forward and topped with a moulded pediment featuring an oculus. There is a central round-arched stair window with a fanlight head, and flat brick arches above the two-light casements. The three-window entrance has sash windows with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
