Description
No. 10 Marshfield Road is a pair of houses, now functioning as a single house, dating from the early 19th century and possibly incorporating elements of an earlier building. The structure features coursed squared limestone rubble with stone dressings and quoins, topped by a stone tiled roof with raised coped verges and gable stacks. It is two storeys high and has two windows on the front. The ground floor includes two 2-light casements with chamfered mullions and hood moulds. There is a central gabled porch with raised coped verges and kneelers, which has two 4-centred arched openings fitted with 20th-century doors. Above, there are two small gables, each containing a similar 2-light window. At the rear left, there is a single-storey addition, and a 1½ storey rear wing features a door and a 20th-century window at the right return. The interior has not been inspected.
