Description

The Old Rectory is a farmhouse that later became a rectory and is now a house. It dates from the 18th century, with early 19th century and 20th century additions and alterations. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with stone dressings and quoins, and the sides are rendered. It has a stone tiled roof with ridge stacks.

The structure is two storeys high and features two windows on the ground floor, which include two 3-light casements with chamfered mullions; the left one is a replacement from the 20th century. The first floor has two similar 3-light casements with ovolo mullions, with the left one dating from the 19th century. The former central door has been blocked.

To the right, there is an early 20th century two-storey block with a flat roof, which has a door on the left with a plain shell hood supported by brackets, and a 2-light casement above. There are similar 2-light casements on both the ground and first floors at the front. To the left, there is a single storey lean-to with a 2-pane light at the front and a 3-light casement on the left return, featuring ovolo mullions and a hood mould. Wrought iron brackets are located under the eaves. The right return of the addition has a single light at the ground floor and a 3-light casement at the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
