Description

No. 24 North Green is a former pair of houses, now combined into one, dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared sandstone with quoins and features tooled ashlar dressings. It has a pantiled roof with stone ridge tiles, stone gable coping, and brick chimneys. The structure is two storeys high and consists of three bays. A 20th-century glazed door, originally located in the centre, has been moved to the third bay and is set in a plain stone surround. The windows are renewed top-hung casements with glazing bars that imitate sash windows, and they are framed by similar stone surrounds. The roof features curved kneelers that support wide copings, and there are end brick chimneys. On the left side, there is a small boarded attic opening located in the gable peak.
