Description
Nos. 4 and 6 Woodlane are a similar pair of houses from the early to mid-19th century. No. 6 likely has a render finish. They feature hipped roofs with stepped eaves, with dry slate on the left side and asbestos slate on the right. Each house has a central rendered stack and end stacks, and they are built on a double-depth plan. The buildings are two storeys tall and have symmetrical three-window fronts. No. 4 has original hornless sash windows with a distinctive pattern of margin panes, along with moulded hoods on consoles at the ground floor and a moulded string course at the mid-floor. No. 6 has later four-pane horned sash windows. Both houses feature original glazed porches with pilasters, consoles, coved brackets, a moulded cornice, and a pair of glazed doors. The interiors have not been inspected but are likely to be of interest.
