Description
This is a corner house located at 14 Dark Street, built in the 19th century. It features white-painted stucco and has a low-pitched slate roof that is hipped at the angle. The building stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. The top floor has square 6-pane sash windows, while the first floor has horned 12-pane sash windows.
On the ground floor, there is a large altered opening on the centre right that leads to two doorways. The doorway on the left has a 20th-century door and an older overlight, providing access to the Greyhound Inn, while there is a boarded door straight ahead. To the left, there is a 20th-century small two-light shop window and a doorway. The ground floor also features a curved corner made of painted tooled stone on the left side.
The west side wall faces Perrot's Avenue and includes a red brick stack at the left end, a similar 6-pane sash window on the top floor, and a 12-pane sash window on the first floor, but no ground floor window. The slightly lower Greyhound Inn adjoins to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
