Description
This is a terraced house located at 13 Dark Street, dating from the 19th century. The exterior is finished in painted roughcast with some stucco dressings, topped by an imitation slate roof and a renewed brick stack at the right end. The house has two storeys and three bays, with eaves that are at a similar level to the adjacent No 12, but with a higher ridge.
On the upper floor, there are three small windows featuring 20th-century glazing. The ground floor has two large openings with plain raised surrounds, although the glazing has been boarded over since 2005. Historical photographs indicate that these openings originally had 3-light shop windows with Gothic glazing bars, similar to those found on Nos 9-10, but without a transom. There is 20th-century infill below these openings. The centre door is set within a moulded stucco surround, which is also boarded over. At the rear, there is a small parallel range constructed of painted brick.
The interior has not been inspected.
