Description

This is a cast-iron lamp standard located between a telephone box and a War Memorial. It features strapwork and crocus moulding, along with a reeded shaft. The lamp standard has modern light fittings. The nearby telephone box has a domed roof with four lunettes that contain embossed crowns over red lettered opals and ventilation slits. It also has raised surrounds on the sides and door, with sidebar glazing on the horizontal panels. The door is made of timber stiles, while the rear is blank, and there is a moulded plinth. The telephone box has been modernised with new telephone equipment.
