Description

This is a circular cast-iron red letter box of standard design. It has a narrow cylinder shape with a fluted rim leading to a shallow domed cap that features a sign bracket with a modern sign. The door displays a crowned GR monogram above the lettering "POST OFFICE." The letter box was made by McDowall Steven and Co Ltd of London and Glasgow.
