Description
This is a circular cast-iron red letter box of standard design. It has a narrow cylinder shape with a fluted rim and a shallow domed cap that features part of a signing bracket. The words "POST OFFICE" are displayed on either side of the letter slot, and the door is marked with the VR monogram. This letter box was made by A Handyside and Co Ltd of Derby and London.
