Description
15 Market Square is an early to mid-19th century building that stands three storeys tall with a five-window front. The exterior features incised coursing on colour-washed plaster. It has a steeply pitched tile roof that is hipped over the angles to the right, with plain close eaves and a brick stack. The right-hand bay is set back, and the adjoining bay is canted back to create an angle from the main front.
On the second floor, there are shallow upper sash windows with nine panes. The first floor features twelve-pane sash windows with plain reveals and stone sills. The ground floor has a later 19th-century shopfront, which includes plain pilasters and a moulded cornice above a plain fascia. There is a four-light window and a plain rectangular doorway on the extreme right, which is topped by a rectangular fanlight with sidebars and a panelled door.
