Description
Old Bank House is a mid-19th century building that stands three stories tall with a three-window front. It features colourwashed plaster on rubble, rusticated quoins, and a plain plinth. The roof is moderately pitched and covered with slate, and it has a moulded eaves band. The stack has been removed from the right end of the building.
On the second floor, there are shallow upper sashes with 9-pane windows, which have moulded architraves and brackets supporting the sills, along with keystones. The first floor has similar 12-pane sash windows.
On the ground floor, to the right, there is a Victorian sash window with a moulded flat hood supported by consoles, above a moulded architrave with a keystone. To the left, there is a former bank window with three lights, featuring round arched lights and moulded glazing bars.
The central doorway has a plain architrave and a moulded flat hood on console brackets. It is a round arched doorway with a segmental fanlight above a panelled door.
